Happy Valentine's Day!!

How SWEET are these pictures?! We had them taken last week during Laura Kruger Photography's Valentine's Day Mini Sessions:)

Logan is SO excited to hand out these Valentine's at his school party! (You print it out as a 4x6, fold it in half, and attach it to a sucker or bag of treats)
How handsome is his hair?? He requested the 'mohawk.' Obviously the mustache prop was a BIG hit.
And somehow Laura captured the one smile Lynley gave us during the whole session! You would think such an adorable child would love having her picture taken;) She acts really nervous...and then we usually try to sit her really close to her brother and then that just pushes her over the edge! Haha, sibling love:)

Goals for 2013

Few things in life make me happier than marking things off of a list.  I tend to be scatter brained so lists help me keep focused. This year I have decided to blog my list to keep myself more accountable and also to look back at the end of this year and be able to see what  have accomplished and what I need to transfer on to the next years list:)

As a Family:
-Increase our giving...as in, more than a 20 in the offering plate at church, donating to the food bank more than once a year over the holidays, etc, etc. I feel like our family is constantly being blessed and we need to start spreading it around!
-Take more weekend trips. In the past this has intimidated us because we had a couple weekenders when Logan was younger than turned out to be just miserable....but since Log & Lyn have gotten older these trips have become more enjoyable and we always make really good memories!
-Stop eating out so much!!
As a Mom:
-Stop rushing through things. Sometimes I find myself rushing to the gym, the grocery store, through bath time, and lunch time and I have no idea why....Who do I have to answer to? Who is making my deadlines?? Um, me...So I need to just start taking my time and enjoy this time I have with the kiddos while they are little!
As a Wife:
-Do one extra nice thing for Chad a week. Since I stay at home I find it easy to say I'm doing nice things for Chad every week when really I'm just doing my job.  I don't think folding his socks and picking up his dry cleaning really make him feel special, ha!
For Me:
-Sub 2:00 Half Marathon
-Be able to do 3 pull ups

Wish me luck:)

Log's First hunt

This year Chad built a blind to put on the hunting property so Log might be able to go out and sit with him and maybe catch a glimpse of a deer.  He never thought the first time Log went out he would get to see his Papa shoot a deer!
Everyone I tell asks if he was scared or sad about the deer but he really wasn't. He has seen his Daddy bring home multiple deer every hunting season so to him it's not weird or scary or a big deal....just what is supposed to happen.  He tells me that Daddy has to shoot deer to "feed the family" and so "there aren't too many deer bothering everybody."
The biggest story he had for me when he came home was that he touched the deers eyeball....GROSS. No one can accuse the child of being anything less than all boy!!:)

Election Day!

Logan had lots of questions when I got home from voting. I tried to explain to him in words he would understand why it is so important for Americans to vote. He asked who I voted for and after I told him he says "uh Mom! You should vote for Captain America because he loves this country!!!"

Only Logan....

Halloween 2012

A Bug and her Daddy....

A Super Hero & his Mommy...

Log & Lyn had a great Halloween this year. It was chilly so we only took Lyn around to a few neighbors' we knew would want to see her all dressed up. After that Chad took Log around the neighborhood to get all the candy they could;) Aside from a run in with an escapee-dog from one house he had a great time and was hyped up on sugar for a good portion o the night....the kid can eat some skittles!!

We didn't have many trick or treaters which was a little sad! In Atlanta it seemed like we stayed by the door the whole night to keep up and this year we had lots of down time between groups.

Lyn LOVED passing out candy- and of course all of the trick or treaters loved getting their candy from a cute little lady bug!!

FOUR

This year we were in the Ozarks on Log's birthday so we headed to Captain Ron's for some pirate festivities! It was also close to Cousin Nolan's birthday so Log was excited to share the day!

Driving the 'Gyspy Rose' with Captain Jack Sparrow! Logan was extremely serious while driving because driving a pirate ship is not a joke!

Heading out to Sea! (A drive around the cove) there were two "pirates" and a "Captain" on the ship. They had a treasure map and told cute stories and pirate jokes. Logan was really into yelling "Scurvy Dog!!!" and "Argh!"

After the ship ride we docked and went onto land for a treasure hunt! Of course "X" marked the spot and the birthday boys got digging! The dug up a treasure chest with all kinds of pirates booty inside!

After all the excitement we came back to the restaurant for cake and presents. Log had an awesome time...I mean what four year old wouldn't love a pirate birthday?!

We found a baby pirate along the way....

Log also practiced driving a more practical boat....

The Big 0-1!!

Lyn you are a little peanut! At 19 lbs you are in the 40% in weight! I can't remember your length but you were in the 50th percentile there:)

You are standing alone and cruising all over the furniture....I am more than ok with you not walking yet. In fact I am little nervous for the day that you decide you'd like to be able to run around as fast as your brother...Lord help us!

Your favorite things are your snuggie (blanket) and paci! We try to keep them both in bed most of the time but you have been sad lately (molars are poking through!) so I have been pretty lax on that rule!

Miss Mae you loved all of your birthday present but you favorite is this little princess car from Nana Tami! You just think you are big stuff when you are walking around behind it!

You are definitely a water baby! Your brother loved the water at this age also but you just don't have any fear! Always putting your face in the water and crawling as deep as your little arms will let you!

Logan is definitely high on the list of favorite people but you have started to let brother know when you have had enough of his craziness in your area, haha! You love when he gives you kisses and it's probably the cutest thing i have ever seen!!

Daddy and I love watching out sweet little Miss Mae grow and know we are extremely lucky to have not one but TWO little Bradshaw Babies to love on:)
