Hot

Lynley had a temperature of 105 for the better part of Tuesday. 105?!?!? After a traumatic trip to the doctor's office during the day and then a trip to the ER that night she is starting to feel better! Thank goodness!

I am starting to crawl out of my skin...no workout for 2 days + a crazy 3 year old + a poor sick baby girl = a crazier Bradshaw household than normal. Even Logan is asking to go work out. Ha! The kid loves those exercise endorphins! (and the train table in the Kids Klub)

Here are a couple of pictures from our recent Kobe (hibachi grill) experience. Logan kept telling people to stop, drop and roll (fire safety week in pre-school) when the chef would make a flame on the grill. He also called the chef a ninja turtle. Everything is exciting to a 3 year old...

You can always count on my little brother to throw the deuces when no one else will.

Cutest girl ever. Seriously!

This has nothing to do with this post....my husband is just the sweetest and brings me awesome no reason gifts home from business trips! Logan of course took complete credit for this gift. A week later he is still asking "you like dat watch my got you?" hahaha!

4 months

Lynley had her 4 month appointment this month...cant believe how big this girl is getting! She was in the 25th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height.

Miss Mae does not seem to be too worried about rolling over but will do it every now and then. She is much more content in her bumbo where she can keep an eye on her big brother!

Oooh....Miss Mae likes her sweet little boots!

Sweet little baby legs w. Bandaids...shots were a little rough. We got through the first one with no tears but Lyn let everyone know she wasn't happy about number 2 and 3. Chad and Logan were in the waiting room and said they heard her wailing...after a minute she calmed down but was still giving her nurse he side eye.

Hunting Season

Since bow hunting season has officially started Chad thought it would be a good idea to dust off the ol' bow and do a little practice shooting. The fact that he was not out in a tree stand this WHOLE weekend is just unbelievable because hunting is Chad's REAL wife in the fall/winter. I guess the whole two kids/wife/crazy job thing is starting to get in the way of his hobbies. Anyway, here are two super cute boys....

Good thing I kinda like this boys Daddy because I think we have a mini-Chad in the works.

There is no stronger bond than that between a boy and his power wheels, it's science.

I got you a flower, Mama! Thanks, Log....you're the sweetest:)
He told me, "You better put it in you pocket so the wind doesn't get it's pretties!" Good thinkin'!

First Day of Pre School

Log started pre school on September 7th. He was more than ready to go...I guess hanging out with Mommy all day was getting bor-ing!

Sweet Backpack! (or packpack as Log would say it)

Rader's Family Farm

Catching some major hang time.

Apparently there were some reckless kids climbing on the hay fort because we heard Logan setting them straight, "Hey kid! You be careful around me!"

Chad was really into teaching Log how to lasso....

I just wanted him to look straight ahead @ the camera. My goals are way more realistic....or so you'd think.

The sweetest little girl around.

Hare Scramble

This summer Chad decided to take up racing four wheelers....he did 4 races but between a newborn and being sick I only made it to the fourth and final. The hare scramble is like a trail race so it's not really spectator friendly. There were only a few points on the trail where we could actually see the riders. The trail is 7 miles long and goes through heavy woods, big hills, and streams and such...the idea is to make it around the trail as many times as you can in an hour and a half. Talk about a good workout!

Can we say hillbilly heaven? Everyone @ the race was super nice...brought together through a common love for fast things....

Chad did this race with Kyle and Kyle's little brother, Travis. Travis got first place and Chad got second. Kyle had some....mechanical issues. He broke his tire somehow.

Kyle and Chad at the start line....this was pretty intense. I could tell Chad was about to jump out of his skin because there was so much adrenaline pumping through his veins..

Of course I had to get a picture of Daddy's number one fan!! Logan thinks next year he will be doing hare scrambles right along side his Daddy and if Chad has anything to do with it, he will!

Random Pictures

Log got a four wheeler (powerwheels) for his 3rd birthday...his helmet gives him sweet hair!

After a little walk around the neighborhood...well, walk for Lynley and I. Logan basically runs circles around us. He makes me say "run, run, run!!" and then "stop" and he slams on the brakes, usually fake falling and saying "ah! I crashed!"
Lynley is beginning to wonder if she will ever get any peace and quiet with her brother around. The answer is most definitely no.

Poor girl:/

Baby girl just LOVES bath time and her big brother loves to help...reminding her over and over not to drink the water because "pee is in der and it di-gus-sin!" (someone needs to follow his own advice when it's his turn in the tub;))

Super Hero Song

Chad is always singing songs....not real songs more like speaking in song....(I know...) Anyway, Logan has started to pick up this trait...it started with "Logan song" then "Nana Song" and there was even a "Tay Tay song." Today I walked by the toy room and heard Logan singing what I think is his super hero song...went a little like this:

I'm a super hero, I fly so fast because I'm super hero LOGAN!!! (the Logan was really emphasized)
Super hero Lynney is a monster BABY!!!! ( he says this bc the baby on incredibles turns into a little read monster)
Super hero Mommy makes SNACKS!!!
Super hero Daddy is STRONG!!!

Lyrical genius.

Another funny story: Logan called his cousin, Gavin (who he usually refers to as super hero Gavin) and when Gavin answered he said "Hi Logan, it's Captain America!"
Haha:)

Logy-ism

Logan: I give Lynley a under dog? (while Lynley is in her baby swing)
Me: No....better not, babies don't like under dogs.
Logan: (to Lynley) Oh baby, you no fun!

Update on Lynley...she is as sweet as can be. After Logan I had no idea a baby could be so laid back. She is perfectly content to lay in your arms and look around or just hang out in her swing. Nights haven't been bad but days are definitely harder when you are low on sleep with a newborn and a 3 year old.(duh)

Log has been a great big brother. We have yet to see any signs of jealousy other than a slight melt down when we put his old mobile in Lynley's room...but that was easily remedied.. Log decided to give Lynley his new projection music player and that he would just keep the old mobile:)...so the mobile lays next to his bed and sings him to sleep, ha! Whatever works, right?

Water park

Today we met Brooke and Clayton at the water park for a little fun in the sun....the boys had the time of their little toddler lies and it was nice because I didn't have to be the only preggers strutting my stuff around in a swim suit....:)

Yes, this is the only picture I got off the boys during the 3 hours we were there...I forgot my camera and do NOT trust myself with my phone in the water. I think Clayton is about to steal Log's doritos...Can't blame him, Doritos are delish!

Both boys seriously love the water so it was the perfect place for a play date and the perfect way to get a good nap out of my buddy!

This was Log on the ride home...
Lights out, folks. Had to make a quick stop at Target after the water park and then we met up with Chad for an early dinner and he didn't even wake up to eat. He slept in the booth next to me...he was one seriously tired little man. He also slept on the way home from the restaurant and for another hour or so on the couch when we got home.

If you're wondering, yes he did eventually wake up from his sun induced coma...@ about 6...Just in time to watch some George, help Daddy wash the four wheelers, take a bath and go back to bed!

When I asked him what his favorite part of the day was he told me "Everything!!!"

First of Many?

Logan has always been a bruiser and Chad has warned me time and again that trips to the ER are definitely in our future. I just didn't think our first would be so soon!

This morning we were getting ready to head to my OB apt and Logan tripped in the garage and flew into the cement step leading into our house. He was behind me when it happened so when he first reached for me crying and buried his head into my shoulder I wasn't sure what happened but when he looked up at me this is what I saw....

I of course put him right in the car and headed to the ER. I sent this picture to Chad to get his opinion when I was on my way and of course had to call Taylor Brand, RN to make sure I was doing the right thing!

He only cried for about a minute but then he just looked so sad...seriously, poor guy! He was a big trooper at the hospital, letting all the nurses and doctor look at his "biiig bump."

By the time we were in the ER room the goose egg had gone down quite a bit. The doctor had Logan eat some Graham crackers and drink some juice to make sure he didn't get sick and then we just waited a bit and were released!

Proof that little boys are resilient.... Pictures Log took of himself while waiting to be checked out by a nurse.....

You can see how much it went down just in the car ride from Atlanta to Bloomington. I think this experience was way more traumatic for me then for Logan who just acted like it was an inconvenience to his day. As we were leaving the ER Logan was very concerned that we were not going to be able to go to the water park....crazy kid just took 5 years off my life and he's worried about his afternoon plans!
